HR9 Heat Treatment Loading Basket | 1380 × 1230 × 280 mm
Large Stackable Furnace Basket for Industrial Heat Treatment
FH® Alloy manufactures custom heat treatment loading baskets, furnace racks and heat-resistant fixtures for industrial thermal processing applications.
This heat treatment basket is manufactured from HR9 heat-resistant alloy and measures 1380 × 1230 × 280 mm.
The basket uses a large open-grid frame with reinforced side walls and integrated stacking points. Multiple baskets can be assembled vertically to create a complete furnace loading system, making the design suitable for batch production where several layers of components need to be processed in one furnace charge.
Each basket can be customized according to the customer's furnace dimensions, workpiece geometry, loading weight and heat treatment process.

Large Furnace Loading Basket
With dimensions of 1380 × 1230 mm, this basket is designed as a large-format furnace loading fixture.
Compared with small component baskets, large heat treatment fixtures need to support greater loads while maintaining dimensional stability during repeated heating and cooling.
The basket incorporates a reinforced structural framework around the perimeter and throughout the side walls to provide support during furnace operation and handling.
Its low-profile height of 280 mm also allows multiple baskets to be stacked within the available furnace chamber height.
Modular Stackable Design
The basket is designed so that several units can be combined into a vertical loading assembly.
This modular arrangement provides flexibility for different production batches.
Depending on the furnace and loading requirements, customers can use:
- A single basket
- Several stacked baskets
- A complete multi-layer loading assembly
The stacking structure helps maintain consistent spacing between layers while allowing the furnace chamber to be used more efficiently.
For replacement projects, FH® Alloy can also reproduce or redesign existing stacking interfaces according to customer drawings or samples.
Open-Grid Structure
The open-grid design provides a large amount of free space around the loaded parts.
This is important for heat treatment fixtures because the basket itself should not unnecessarily obstruct furnace atmosphere or heat flow.
The open structure can support:
- Furnace atmosphere circulation
- Heat transfer around the workpieces
- Cooling media flow
- Lower unnecessary fixture mass
- Easier visual inspection of loaded components
The opening pattern and internal support positions can be adjusted according to the size and shape of the parts being processed.
HR9 Heat-Resistant Material
This basket is manufactured from HR9 heat-resistant alloy.
Heat treatment fixtures must repeatedly withstand elevated temperatures, thermal expansion, mechanical loading and cooling cycles. Material selection therefore directly affects fixture stability and service performance.
For a heat treatment basket, the material should be selected according to the complete working environment, including:
- Furnace temperature
- Furnace atmosphere
- Heating time
- Cooling method
- Load per basket
- Number of thermal cycles
- Workpiece distribution
FH® Alloy can also manufacture similar furnace loading fixtures from alternative heat-resistant materials when required.
Reinforced Frame Construction
Large furnace baskets can gradually distort if the structure is not properly designed.
This design uses a reinforced frame with multiple intersections and support sections to distribute loading through the basket.
Rather than relying only on thicker sections, a furnace fixture should balance:
Mechanical Strength + Thermal Stability + Fixture Weight + Heat Flow
This is especially important for large baskets that are repeatedly stacked, lifted and exposed to high temperatures.
Designed for Repeated Furnace Cycles
During production, heat treatment baskets are repeatedly exposed to:
Loading → Heating → Holding → Cooling → Unloading
Over long-term use, fixtures can experience high-temperature creep, thermal fatigue, oxidation and dimensional change.
The structural design of the basket is therefore developed not only for initial load capacity, but also for repeated industrial operation.
FH® Alloy can optimize frame geometry and support positions according to the customer's actual working conditions.
Heat Treatment Applications
Large HR9 furnace baskets can be customized for handling various industrial parts, including:
- Gears
- Shafts
- Rings
- Bearing components
- Automotive components
- Transmission parts
- Forged components
- Machinery parts
- Metal components requiring batch heat treatment
Different loading supports can be incorporated according to the component geometry.
Furnace Applications
This type of furnace loading basket can be adapted for different industrial heat treatment equipment, including:
- Batch furnaces
- Atmosphere furnaces
- Annealing furnaces
- Hardening furnaces
- Carburizing furnaces
- Tempering furnaces
- Continuous heat treatment lines
- Other industrial thermal processing systems
The exact fixture structure should be matched to the specific furnace and process rather than selected only by outside dimensions.
Custom Furnace Basket Manufacturing
FH® Alloy supports fully customized furnace fixture production.
Customers may provide:
2D Drawing / 3D Model / Existing Sample / Furnace Information
We can customize:
- Overall length
